Whirl sinter coatings
In whirl sintering, thermoset or thermoplastic plastic powder is applied to the workpiece and fused to form a closed plastic layer.
Whirl sinter coatings can be applied to all metal parts.
The prerequisite for this is that these parts can be brought to the temperature required for the coating without any change in shape or material deterioration.
Whirl sinter coatings – adding value to your products
Coatings with variable layer thicknesses can be produced in a single operation. Coating thicknesses of up to several millimeters are therefore possible.
There is no risk of health hazards or fire hazards, since no solvents are used or released with whirl sinter powders.
Because of their optimum combination of properties (functional and/or decorative), whirl sinter coatings are used in a wide variety of fields:
- Wire goods for household appliances and furniture
- Parts for the automotive industry
- Medical technology articles
- Piping and fittings
- Technical articles
- Small parts
We offer the following plastic coatings in the whirl sintering process:
- PPA – based on an alloy of acid-modified polyolefins
- PE – polyethylene
- PA – polyamide 12
